Ben Franklin Innovations Center
As a Ben Franklin Innovations Center, one of the defining features of
the Institute for Hepatitis and Virus Research (IHVR) is its commitment
to biotechnology entrepreneurship and the promotion of academic-commercial
partnerships. This is accomplished by making IHVR resources and scientists
available to biotechnology “start-up” firms in the area. Steps
are being taken to encourage bio- and high-tech companies outside of the
area to learn more about what Bucks County and the larger Southeastern
Pennsylvania region has to offer, and if appropriate, develop relationships
with the IHVR and other local biotech companies. This program is funded
with a grant from the Ben
Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
