Research
The
Institute for Hepatitis and Virus Research (IHVR) - also known as the
Pennsylvania Commonwealth Institute – and the facility in which
it operates, offers a unique and exceptional opportunity to bring scientists
together from commercial, academic and other nonprofit institutions to
pursue common research themes in an environment conducive to interaction,
collaboration and focus.
The IHVR is also home to the Hepatitis
B Foundation Lab, which was established in 1994 to find a cure for
hepatitis B. The Hepatitis B Foundation (HBF) lab provides grant support
for one faculty-level scientist: the HBF
Bruce Witte Research Fellow.
Both IHVR and HBF scientists work closely together and share resources
to advance their mutual research goals.
