Dr. Block is the Founder and President of the Institute for Hepatitis and Virus Research (IHVR), which is the research partner of the Hepatitis B Foundation. He has been involved in viral hepatitis research for more than 20 years and is internationally recognized for his outstanding scholarship and scientific contributions. Dr. Block does not receive any financial support from the Institute for Hepatitis and Virus Research since he serves as a volunteer president and director. Dr. Block is a Professor of Microbiology and Immunology, Drexel University College of Medicine, and Director of the Drexel Institute for Biotechnology and Virology Research. Read Bio.
