James D. Thacker , Ph.D.
 Dr. Thacker’s research over the past eight years has been focusing on the etiology of chronic inflammatory diseases. Using a “top-down” approach to proteomics, his research has led directly to the discovery of a new signaling peptide that regulates the intracellular inflammasome protein complex. Dr. Thacker formed TherimuneX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 2005. TherimuneX is developing drug products for chronic diseases and its lead drug candidate is in the preclinical stage of development for the treatment of fibrotic diseases.
